This is Campur Sari music group. This group usually consist of 10-12 people.

This group can sing many types of songs such as pop, dang dut, or traditional songs. Therefore the personnels wear many types of shirts.

Usually they present in a wedding ceremony to perform life music and entertainment.

Taking a rest and enjoying free time for someone is really nice. No matter where she or he takes a rest as long as it is nice no problem.

This picture I captured when I was in Sunan Sedayu street in Rawamangun. The man was reading neswpaper, but due to no other place for him to take a rest he took newspaper and opened it for his "carpet". He started to read it. What a life!

Heavy Traffict Jam in Japek Tol Road

I was from Jatiwaringin yesterday afternoon. When I entered the tol roal, Japek tol road, I saw a terrible traffict jam for the vehicles from Cawang to Bekasi. It was so bad.

On the other side thanks God that the way from Jatiwaringin to Cawang and even to Cempaka Putih was good and no traffict jam.

I just couldn't imagine how stress full was the situation in that traffict jam.

Day  by day the transportation in Jakarta is getting worse and not comfortable any more.

Pemulung

Pemulung begitu istilah yang diberikan oleh masyarakat untuk profesi ini. Sedangkan di jaman Pak Harto saat menjadi Presiden RI dikenal istilah LASKAR MANDIRI.

Profesi ini ialah mengumpulkan barang-barang yang sudah tidak berguna untuk dikirimkan kepada pengumpulnya selanjutnya para pengumpulnya menjual pabrik untuk didaur ulang. Sebenarnya profesi ini secara tidak langsung membantu mengatasi masalah "global warming" karena barang-barang yang tidak berguna dikumpulkan untuk bisa dipakai kembali.

Cuma sayangnya ada beberapa oknum pemulung yang beroperasi di pagi dini hari dan dia mengambil benda-benda yang kadang masih dipakai atau istilah jeleknya mencuri.

Memang di berbagai profesi selalu saja oknum yang akan mencemari nama baik orang.berprofesi sama  yang bekerja dengan sungguh-sungguh untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga.

Mensikapi hal demikian mungkin ada baiknya tetap waspada dengan keamanan di rumah. Bila ada barang yang masih bagus tapi anda tidak memerlukannya lagi, bisa dibungkus rapi dan ditulisi "silakan ambil". Tapi bila mereka nampak berbuat tidak pada tempatnya misalnya saat anda ada di depan rumah mereka masuk tanpa izin anda, anda perlu menegurnya agar izin dulu dengan pemilik rumah. Biar bagaimanapun mereka tetap harus diajarkan etika, karena bisa jadi pendidikan mereka tidak cukup untuk belajar etika. Bila mereka mengikuti "pendidikan" yang anda ajarkan mudah-mudahan itu adalah nilai baik bagi anda di hadapan Yang Maha Kuasa.

Food Seller

During Ramadhan especially in the afternoon when maghrib time is coming there are many temporer food sellers. They sell "kolak" , juice etc.

It is a typical condition in Jakarta.

This condition helps a lot not only for the sellers to make money but also the buyers. Many of Jakartans do not prepare "kolak" for their break time, so these people's present help them a lot to have "kolak" for fasting break time.

Kerupuk Mie

The man is selling "kerupuk mie", it is  the name of the crackers. The color is yellow, it is fried without cooking oil, and usually we put "sambals" toeat it. It is very nice food. I used to buy it when I was a child. May be you can give it a try.

Bemo

Bemo, is an old vehicle on Jakarta. Fifteen years ago or may be more, Bemo was one of top vehicle, but right now there are many restriction for Bemo so it can not operate anywhere. Well maybe because it is an old vehicle.

Hard Life

When I saw the boy the clock shown 21.00. The boy who should have stayed at home, watched tv with his family and or enjoyed some food at home, but he couldn't.

He must go to the street and became a beggar. You can see in the picture how his way of behave is still like common children, but he must suffered hard life on the street.

Gym activities

Every morning in Husada hospital there are some physical exercises groups. They do gym everyday. There are many men and women join it. It is very good activity to join because it will make the body health.

Food Sellers

In the morning if you are in Cempaka Putih, you don't have to be afraid of being hungry. There are many food sellers in Cempaka Putih.

In the morning, you can find many food sellers like those are in the photo. The sell prety nice food such as Tahu Kupat, Lontong Sayur, chicken pouridge, chicken noodles etc. The price are not that expensive and it is reachable.

Every morning there are many employees have breakfast there. However not only in the many employees visit this placa but also in the afternoon in lunch time.

You can have a look and enjoy it.

Bajaj

This vehicle's name is Bajaj. Bajaj according the history is from India. Therefore if you go to India you will find such kind of vehicle. This vehicle is relativey cheap cost, however if you are not sure about the cost to your destination it is often they charge very high.

Some tips if you want to take Bajaj :
- Make sure you know your destination and how far is it from your possition now.
- Some are can't be passed by Bajaj.
- If your destination is a little bit far, you can compare the cost if you take taxi. Some time Bajaj driver, will ask much higher than taxi cost.
- Never forgey to remind the driver if he is speeding, why??? Yes, because you never know wether the vehicle is well mantained or not.

Those are some tips if you want to take Bajaj in Jakarta.

It is morning  view  in Angkasa street. Always traffic jam. When I captured the view the clock shown 7.05 am and the traffic jam will get worse in few minutes to come.

Trafic jam in Jakarta makes high cost economy. The city administrative should have really put this problem as the highest ranking to be settled, otherwise Jakarta will become unfriendly city for business. Or may be people must start to think to work online base?

One thing that political parties like to do is putting some flags of their parties on the side of the street and main street. It is often that they put thousands flags along the street especially main street. Even because of so many flags in the street or main street they put, the broken poles are considered usual thing.

In the midle of heavy traffic jam, some people make it a good chance to make money, they are famous with term 'pak ogah' - a man in Unyil tv show, who always asked 100rupiah for what he had done for people.

They help the drivers to make u turn in the u turn location, as the return, people will give them money, 500 rupiahs or one thousand. That's life in Jakarta.

Heavy traffic jam is really made all of us mad. When I passed through Industri Street near Gunung Sahari street from PRJ, I had a very bad traffic jam. Only 2 kilometers I needed almost 1 hour.

Selling vcd or cd is one of the most favourite business. Many people do this business. The price of thr cds or vcds are vary from 5 thousand to 7 thousand.

This business is good or bad? I can't answer it because it depends the peope's view. For the vopy right owners it is offcourse not good business, but for most of the people their presence are good.
